Hyburnia Vance

It is with great sadness that the family of Hyburnia Vance announces her passing on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the age of 95 years. Mrs. Vance will lovingly be remembered by her daughters Patricia Page and husband Billy, Karen Haggard and husband David and Cindy Hammond; sister Karen Bruce; grandchildren Brandi Lee, Nikkie Kale, Mike Owen, Autumn Owen and Ashlan Hammond; great-grandchildren Bobby Kale, Paden Lee, Xander Owen, Xane Owen, Xach Owen, Brynlee Hammond, Dylan Bell and on his way soon Elijah Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mary Hyburnia (Sorenson) Closs; husband Jesse Vance; sister Roberta Blankenship. Hyburnia was born on May 10, 1925 in Richmond, Virginia. She had been a resident of the community since 1982. Mrs. Vance worked for 25 years for Texas Instruments and took early retirement to care for her ailing husband Jesse. She loved to Crochet, open up and read a good book and especially spoiling her great-grandchildren. Hyburnia was a longtime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro. A visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19th at Beaty Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Clearwater Cemetery with Rev. David Taylor officiating.
