Mrs. Ida Lee (Cates) Gilbreath, age 95 of Winnsboro, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Winnsboro. Ida was born in Lamar County on October 13, 1921 to the late J.G. Cates and Laura Berry Cates. She was a farmer, a homemaker, and loving mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMA's. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. James Truman Gilbreath; two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Gilbreath Waterman and husband Loyd of Tyler; sons, Harold Dwayne Gilbreath and wife Carolyn of Winnsboro, Ronny Alan Gilbreath and wife Sharon of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro on Sunday, November 6, 2016 with visitation beginning at 1:30 until the service begins at 2:30PM. Bro. James Schafer and Bro. David Taylor officiating; interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Larry Mitchell, Ronny Lee, Clem Measures, Ricky Swanner, Richard Smith, Casey Hays and Paul Bennett serving as pallbearers.
