Jack David Ledkins

Jack David Ledkins, age 74, died Wednesday, March 06, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Thursday, June 23, 1938 in Peterman, Alabama to the late Hamilton and Genievive Ledkins. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas where he served as a Deacon, a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Choir. He was the past President of the Rotary Club in Lindale and Mineola.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a step-father, Thomas Higdon.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patsy Ledkins of Mineola; three sons, David Ledkins and wife Susan of Hawkins, Texas, Daniel Ledkins and wife Wendy of Mineola and Mark Ledkins and wife Alisa of Mineola; a brother, Felix Ledkins and wife Lorraine of The Villages, Florida; two sisters in law, Margaret Smith and Sue Price both of Jacksonville, Texas; seven grandchildren Jaci Ledkins, Marisa Ledkins, Logan Ledkins and wife Kara, Jacob Ledkins and wife Michele, Nathan Ledkins Trend Ledkins and Joshua Ledkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Baptist Church Mineola, Building Fund.

Visitation for Mr. Ledkins will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Mineola on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating.

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Mineola.
