James William Brown

James William Brown, 73, of Mineola TX passed away on October 5, 2021, in Tyler TX. He was born on December 31, 1947, in Oklahoma City, OK to Roy and Mary Jane Brown. James honorably served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Khe Sahn Veterans and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting guns.

James was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David Wilson and Charlie Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Brown; two daughters, Amy Temple and husband Garrett of Wylie, TX, Julie Austin of Hawkins, TX; brother, George Wilson of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Sammye Lewis of Lubbock, TX and Linda Lands and husband Fred of AR; four grandchildren, Cain Austin, Zack Austin, Landry Temple, Colin Gonzalez; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
