James Vernon Bynum

April 23, 1935 — August 10, 2014

Mr. James Vernon Bynum, age 79 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Winnsboro, after a lengthy illness. James was born in Pittsburg on April 23, 1935 to the late Ray and Roberta Landers Bynum. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member, and past Worshipful Master, of the Frank Sexton Masonic Lodge #206 in Pittsburg, and a retired route driver for Coca-Cola Bottling. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin, Donald, and Joe Bynum. He is survived by his loving wife, June Steele Bynum of Winnsboro; daughters, Carol Woodle and husband Gary of Winnsboro, Sandra Suggs and husband Randy of Yantis; brothers, David Bynum and wife Betty of Longview, Bobby Bynum and wife Juanita of Midlothian; sister, Mary Gipson of Bettie; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County; Bro. Ken Goodson officiating.
