James Ray Ferguson

James Ray Ferguson, age 89, died Tuesday, August 02, 2011 in Quitman, Texas. He was born on Friday, October 7, 1921 in Golden, Texas to the late James T. and Alma Ferguson. He served in the United States Navy during WW II and the Korean War and worked as an electrician for RG LeTourneau.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Ferguson of Golden; a son, Jerry Ferguson and wife Marie of Granbury, Texas; a daughter, Nancy A. Ferguson of Abilene, Texas; a step-son, Royce Kennedy and wife Nancy of Quitman, Texas; a step-daughter, Jamie Vilar and husband Rick of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Travis Ferguson of Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Ferguson will be at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mineola on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 9:00 AM with Otis Lee and "Red" Taylor officiating.
