James Lynn Gibson

Mr. James Lynn (Bubba) Gibson, age 78, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Winnsboro. He was born July 25, 1943 in Winnsboro to the late Maurice Gibson and Charlene Stanley Gibson.

Bubba retired from BG Metal Buildings, which he owned for several years. He was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Charlene Gibson, his brother, Benny Gibson and nephew Colby Gibson. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Gibson, daughters, Tammy Mayfield and husband Marc of Longview, Texas. Kelly Romack and husband Jeff of Rockwall, Texas. Misty Dickens and husband Chris of Big Sandy, Texas. Sister Marlene Messimer of Winnsboro, brother Pete Gibson of Winnsboro, brother Mike Gibson of Winnsboro, Papaw to five grandchildren, Landon Romack, Connor Romack, Krista Dickens, Kade Dickens and Kyndal Dickens; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, October 29th beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery.
