James Alfred Hargus

Mr. James A. Hargus passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the age of 74. He was born on November 3, 1935 to the late Jesse Lee Hargus and LeOna Hughes Hargus. Mr. Hargus worked for the City of Dallas as a District Manager with the Building Inspection Department until 1991. He married the former Janet Mae Billington on October 10, 1964 and was preceded in death by his sisters, AnnOna Hargus and Betsey Hargus Walden. Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Mrs. Janet Hargus; son, John Charles Hargus; daughter and son-in-law Julie Anne and Eric West; brother, George Hargus; sister, Lee Ella Hunter and two grandchildren, Brittanee and Bailey West.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 1:00PM at the Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, TX with Visitation from 6-8PM on Sunday evening at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, TX.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcomb Blvd. Houston, TX 77030, for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
