James Orman Keith

James Orman Keith completed his earthly journey and was promoted to heaven on January 8, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1940 to Elmer Duke (Beau) Keith and Anna Nadine (Bradshaw) in Cartright, Texas.
James was the oldest of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dwayne, sister Debra and son Mike Keith.
James is survived by his wife of 62 years, Iwana; son Terry Keith and wife T.J. of Gilmer; daughter, Kathy Keith of Longview; brother, Johnny Keith and wife Frances of Quitman; sisters, Dru Glazner and husband Ted of Winnsboro; and Sandra White and husband, Mark of Celeste; brother-in-law, Bill Rhoades and wife Karon, grandson Jeff Keith and wife, Falon; granddaughter, Julie McCurry and husband, Eric; great grandsons, Hagen and JJ and great granddaughters, Kaliegh and Brooke; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. James loved his family and his church.
James and Iwana met in the fall of 1958 and married in February 1959. They were together everyday for almost 63 years.
In addition to growing their family they also built a family business that supported them and many family members for over 40 years. James was well respected and held in highest esteem by costumers and competitors alike. James and Iwana retired in 2012 and passed control of the business to their eldest son, Terry. James enjoyed his farm and cows. He also loved to sing. James volunteered weekly at a local nursing facility. He was an easy going man, always had a smile on his face and was a friend to all. He will be deeply missed by his family. He is our HERO - a GIANT of a man.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Riley Pippen conducting. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Winnsboro, with David Keith, Glen Clark, Andrew Palmer, Jeff Keith, Eric McCurry, and Macky Rhoades serving as pallbearers.
