James Ore Kelso

September 23, 1924 — April 10, 2008

Mr. James Ore Kelso, of Winnsboro, passed away, Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the age of 83. He was born in Pickton on September 23, 1924 to the late William Ore and Elizabeth Williams Kelso. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a retired oilfield materials specialist, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro. He married Ima Jean Cole on December 22, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dale and Marvis Kelso; sister, Evelynd Preston. He is survived by his wife, Ima Jean Kelso of Winnsboro; two sons, Leslie Kelso and wife Alexandra of Houston; Gregory Kelso of Commerce; brother, Doyce Kelso of Gun Barrell City; sisters, Robbie Craig of Winnsboro, Imagene Kirkpatrick of Como; two granddaughters, Kelly and Julie Kelso.
