James Thomas Matlock

Mr. James T. Matlock, Jr. age 83 of Holly Lake Ranch, passed away on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 in Tyler. He was born on January 27th, 1936 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to the late James Matlock Sr. and Hattie Key Matlock. James was a retired Insurance Agent and member of First Baptist Church of Zwolle, LA. He is survived by, wife, Dorothy Matlock of Holly Lake Ranch; son James T. Matlock III and wife Christy of Frederick Maryland ; daughters, Debbie Ledford and her husband Don of Holly Lake Ranch and Donna Fernandez of Lindale; brother, William Garland "Billy" Fryday of Zwolle, LA; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and two nieces. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31st, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at Holly Tree Cemetery 1620 South FM 2869 Holly Lake Ranch, Texas 75765 at 10:00 am, James Matlock III conducting, In lue of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
