James Earl Minix

Mr. James Minix, age 66 of Mineola, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Tyler. He was born on March 5, 1954 in Beaumont to the late William LeRoy Minix and Thersea Minix. He was a Quality Control Officer for Quantum Plastics, a member of First Assembly of God in Hawkins, TX and served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald Ray Minix, Ronald Lynn Minix, Frank Minix and nephew Rashad L. Minix. James is survived by his loving wife, Carloyn Minix; daughter, Teneka Minix-Morrow and her husband, Ja'male; brothers and sisters, William L. Minix Jr. and his wife Chris, Paul Minix, Ruth Minix-Poullard and her husband, Edward, Roby L. Minix Sr. and his wife Jessica, Henri Etta Minix-Berotte and her husband Larry, Michael Minix and his wife Lisa, Gregory L. Minix and his wife Michelle, Sally Minix-Moore and her husband Ernest, and freda Minix-Bias; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at First Assembly of God,102 Harris St. Hawkins, Texas 76765 at 10:00 am, Bro. Bryan Peck conducting, interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Mineola, with Ja'male Morrow, Rodney Boyd, Kris Carlson, Tim Hunt, Jim Barrington Minix serving as pallbearers.
