James Moreland Murphy

Mr. James M. Murphy of Alba, Texas passed away January 5, 2006 at the age of 79. He was born October 27, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Frank M. Murphy and the late Mary Agnes (Julick) Murphy. He has lived in Alba since 1994 having moved from Dallas. He was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mineola. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as a Boy Scout Troup Leader and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. He was a Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity member at Ohio State where he graduated in 1957 with a B.A. in Business Administration. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Anita Murphy of Alba, Texas; three sons, David Murphy of Ft. Worth, Texas, Patrick Murphy of Chico, Texas, and Gary Murphy of Garland, Texas; daughter, Kathleen Baxter of Alba, Texas; brother Charles Murphy and wife Sue of Sunbury, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael Murphy and wife Courtney, Kelly Rhoades and husband Kenneth, Amanda Murphy, Jake Murphy, Morgan Baxter, Stephen Baxter, and Colin Baxter; and three great grandchildren, Kenneth Rhoades III, Brittany Rhoades, and Chase Murphy.
