James Albert Sechrist

James Albert Sechrist, age 77, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on September 29, 1946, to the late John and Minnie Sechrist, James brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Growing up as one of eight children, his childhood was filled with mischief and fun, ensuring there was never a dull moment.

James married Beatrice Davis on September 29, 1970. Together, they shared 32 wonderful years until her passing in 2002. On November 17, 2005, he found love again and married Wanda Lou Fulmer, with whom he spent the rest of his days side by side.

A dedicated worker, James was employed by the City of Dallas Sanitation Department for many years. His true passion, however, lay in storytelling. Known for his vivid tales and quick wit, James loved to bring smiles to those around him. He was an avid fan of western movies and mystery TV shows, enjoying the thrill and adventure they provided.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John Albert Sechrist and Minnie Bell Sechrist; his brothers Lee, Bruce, and Kenneth Sechrist; his sister Wanda Moss; and his first wife, Beatrice Davis.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Lou Sechrist; his son Donnie Davis; his daughters Sandra Holleman, Laura Silva, Jessica Wallis, and Stephanie Cooper; his brothers Jimmy Sechrist and Doug Sechrist; his sister Linnie Middleton; and 36 cherished grandchildren.

James' legacy of laughter and love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His storytelling, humor, and the joy he brought to others will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
