James Claude Snider

Mr. James C. Snider died Friday, August 20 at his residence in Hawkins at the age of 80. He was born February 20, 1930 in Hawkins Texas to the late, James Eston and Ella Reville Snider. He served in the US Air Force, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawkins and served as the longtime director of Hawkins Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Etta Snider; sons, Lynn Snider and his wife Mary, Terry Snider and his wife Janet and Michael Snider; daughter, Sherri Rushing and her husband Jerry Don; sisters, Beth Waller and Lula Mae Beavers; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
