With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jamie Collier, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, who departed this life December 4, 2025, at the age of 81. Jamie was born on January 30, 1944, in Winnsboro, Texas, where she grew up surrounded by the love of her family and the beauty of the East Texas landscape. She grew up in the Stout community just south of Winnsboro with her parents, William Gilbert Bellomy and Ila Harris. She loved her home place and the outdoors. Watching wildlife, growing flowers, vegetables and playing in the dirt.

After a rocky start in school, she learned to read and made this a big part of her life. She read for information and for enjoyment. She went from text books to detective fiction to romance and lastly to biblical history of the authors interpretation. She was a dedicated educator; Jamie earned her Master's Degree After graduating from east Texas of commerce. Thanks, and gig'em. She taught school in Athens, Tyler and other small towns in east Texas. While making sure she wasback with her dad on the weekends. "Be home before dark" he advised and she followed through with that last week. Who knew that her similar experience of playing school with Sherri and Sarah would lead to her first job.

When she was shaping the minds of countless students, sometimes providing clothing to the students who were in need. She also served the community through her roles with the Dallas Police Department, the Dallas Tax Department, and the Public Works Department for the City of Dallas. Jamie's passion for knowledge and service left a lasting impact on those around her.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Jamie was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an exceptional painter and photographer, capturing the beauty of life through her artistic vision. A gifted pianist, she found joy in music, and her love for cycling, outdoor walks, and gardening reflected her appreciation for nature and the world around her. She was a good cook made the best Fried chicken, lemon marang pies and pecan pies. She really enjoyed coming back home to the farm. Also, the time she got to spend in the country with her family.

Jamie was preceded in death by her parents, William Gilbert Bellomy and Ila Harris-Bellomy and dear cousins, Billy Harris, Tommy Harris, Jerry Craddick, Winona Bithell, and James Volley Davis. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne Collier, and her beloved son, William Collier, his wife Megan Collier and their son Andrew Theodore Collier. God saw you were tired and a cure was not to be. He put his arms around and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; Hard working hands at rest. God broke are hearts to prove to us HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST.
