Janet Sue Miller

Janet Sue Miller, of Tyler, Texas, passed away at her home on June 5, 2023. She was born to the late William Delbert Miller and Willie "Nubin" Gallender on August 28, 1953. Ms. Miller was a 1971 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. Janet was employed nearly 20 years at Levi Strauss in Tyler before going to work as a Lab Processor for ETMC/UT Health Center. She worked as a Lab Processor for 29 years before retiring in April of 2022. Janet never met a stranger and always had a good story to make one laugh. She loved meeting people and had a wicked sense of humor. Our family will miss her dearly, however, we would not want her to suffer anymore illness. Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; son Brandt Miller; brother Doyce Miller; and sister Debbie Miller. Janet is survived by her daughter Katie Battles; granddaughter Sadie Fields; brother Dick Miller; sisters Diann Rivers and her husband Kevin, LeBrenda Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8th at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will occur on Friday, June 9th in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Mack McClain officiating. Interment will follow in Winterfield Cemetery in Hopkins County. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Pickton Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2, Pickton, Tx. 75471.
