Janie Elizabeth Blake, 71, of Mineola, TX passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Tyler, TX. She was born on Friday, 14, 1944 in Brandon, MS to the late Carl and Mary Fortenberry.

Janie is preceded in death by her husband John Blake.

She is survived by her two son’s; Rodney Nelson of Mineola, TX, Michael Spencer of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Stephanie Miller and husband Rick of Mineola, TX, Cindy Thomas of Mineola, TX, Carla Blackburn and husband Thomas of Oklahoma; brother, Carl Fortenberry of Florida; three sisters, Barbara Alexander of Mississippi, Doris Shirey of Highlands, TX, Nancy Cowley of Highlands, TX; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 4:00 PM at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX.
