J.B. Jackson

Mr. J.B. Jackson passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 92. He was born on October 29, 1920, in Winnsboro, to the late Jessie Byrd Jackson and Addie Carnathan Jackson. Mr. Jackson served in U.S. Army, was retired from the Oil Field Industry, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Mary Lou Martin Jackson and Wanda M. Grubbs Jackson; daughter, Dorothy Faye Jackson in 1954; grandson, Corey "Bear" Ray in 1992; daughter-in-law, Frances Jackson; one sister and two brothers. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law; Jerald Bob and Christine Jackson of Leesburg and Noel Glenn and Kathy Jackson of Carthage; daughter and son-in-law, LaWanda and Ron Smelley of Winnsboro; brother, J.L. Jackson of Winnsboro; five grandchildren, Tara Benedict and husband Geoff, Heather Lilly and husband Clint, Wendy Spence and husband Chad, Jerry Jackson and wife Shelly, Brent Jackson and wife Crystal; great grandchildren, Caden Bear and Gabriel Lee Benedict, Chase, Rylee Carmella and Baylee Anne Lilly, Madison Leigh, Jessie James and Gracie Leigh Spence, Ally, Jake, Boston, and Parker Jackson, Britney, Jonah, Josiah and Jacoby Jackson.
