J.D. Inman

Mr. J.D. Inman passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the age of 81. He was born on September 21, 1925 to the late John Dewey Inman and Bunie Wall Inman. Mr. Inman served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and married the former Vera Fikes on September 24, 1949. He worked as an accountant for the Texaco Oil Company for 31 years before retiring. Mr. Inman was a member of the Winnsboro American Legion, President of the Cypress Water Board and was a member of the Clearwater Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for twenty years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Pat Cook. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Mrs. Vera Inman of Scroggins; daughters, Durene White of Denton and Brenda Moody of The Woodlands; son, Greg Inman of Scroggins; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
