Jeffrey Duane Jones
July 2, 1948 – July 20, 2021

Jeff was born in Chicago, Indiana, and he was the son of Chester and Dorothy Jones. He graduated from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps. He loved spending time with his family and friends, all things Aggie, motorcycles, storm spotting along with ham radios, and watching old movies. Jeff will be remembered for the love he had for his family. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Jones, and his children Christopher Jones and his wife Tina of Edgewood, Tx, Jennifer Snyder and her husband Sam of New Braunfels, Tx, Stephanie Key and her husband Ryan of Grand Saline, Tx, Joelle Yates of Tyler, Tx and John Loyd of Kilgore, Tx. Jeff was also blessed with 16 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way. He was preceded in death by his father Chester Jones, his mother Dorothy Jones, his sister Beverly Forbus, and his son Phillip Weaver.
There will be a small celebration of life ceremony at Riverside Mission Church in Grand Saline, Tx on Saturday July 24, 2021, at 3pm with Pastor Donnie Herring officiating. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the East Texas Alzheimer’s Alliance.
