Jeffrey Alan Wedding

Jeffrey Alan Wedding, age 58, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on November 9,1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a 1983 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas and Tyler Junior College, where he met his wife, Stacy. Jeff retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 2021, after 25 years where he was a Transportation Maintenance Specialist.

Jeff loved fishing, fireworks, Star Wars and Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed being at the lake fishing with his daughter, Sara and his fishing buddy, Annie. He would spend his summers working with PyroTechnic as a pyrotechnician, providing firework shows. He could recite entire lines from all the Star Wars movies and would often do it! Football season was filled with “Them Boys – Dallas Cowboys Football.” He was a die-hard fan, and he attended their last game with his friend, Stan.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Wedding, Alba, TX and preceded in death by his father, Deward Wedding, Jr. Jeff lived in Alba, Texas with his wife, Stacy, his son, Chase and his daughter, Sara. Other family members include his brother, Bryan Veatch (Rock Falls, IL), father-in-law, Wayne Green, (Lindale, TX); cousins Cori Brown, Spanish Fork, Utah, Debbie Brown Bloomington, Illinois and Bill Blair, Alba, Texas.
