Jerry Miles Lominack

Jerry Miles Lominack, age 85 of Winnsboro, Texas passed away on December 8, 2023 at Whispering Pines in Winnsboro. He was born on September 18, 1938 in the Cypress Community of Franklin County to the late Wade Weston Lominack and Stella C. Love Lominack.

He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1957. Following graduation Jerry went to Dallas and worked at Murray Cotton Gin as a timekeeper. He also worked several years for Web Filter Plant in Winnsboro. Later Jerry drove a truck for Robertson Tank Lines in Houston and for Tyler Pipe and Foundry before retiring with a certificate for 20 years of safe driving.

Jerry loved going to auctions, reading his Bible, eating out most Tuesdays with his best friend, Jackie, spoiling his cats and keeping his yard manicured. He constantly received compliments on how well his property was maintained.

Jerry was a man with a big heart who helped many people and organizations over his lifetime. He especially loved and appreciated friends and family who visited and called often.

He was a longtime member of Cypress Baptist Church.

Survivors include sisters, Betty Deloney of Parker, Texas and Gayle Ayers and husband, Billy of Denison, Texas; nieces Diane Deloney and Amy McCreight (Brad); great niece, Lindsay McCreight; great nephew, Kevin McCreight (Molly), and best friend Jackie Coffman, and Aunt Barbara Stack, along with a host of other cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, Texas. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Cypress Cemetery with Bro. Garry Gage officiating.

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff at Whispering Pines and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care. Also, to Bro. Barry Gage and Family for their weekly visits with Jerry, frequent phone calls and prayers this past year.
