Jerry Bill Oldfield

Jerry Bill Oldfield of Lindale, TX passed away peacefully at Christus Mother Francis hospital in Tyler, TX on May 11, 2024, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was 81.

Jerry was the youngest of six children born to Geneva and LeeRoy Oldfield in Newton, IA. Jerry moved to Texas in the mid-1980’s where he had a successful career as a HVAC technician. Jerry loved fishing at his favorite spot, Lake Holbrook.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Jerry is survived by his son Richard Oldfield, daughter-in-law Dawn Bluemel Oldfield of Texas, his daughter Suzanne Oldfield Bancroft, son-in-law Fred Bancroft of New York, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, Sue Bruce Oldfield and Linda Breckenridge.
