Jerry Alan Thompson

Mr. Jerry Alan Thompson, age 77 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Quitman. He was born on September 29, 1944 in Winnsboro to the late John Arthur Thompson and Jackie Covington Thompson.

Jerry was a retired captain in the U.S. Army, an elder and member at Central Christian Church in Winnsboro, and was a past master of Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge in Winnsboro.

He is survived by his strong wife, of 59 years, Annita Thompson; son, Robert Thompson and his wife Roxanne of Malvern, Arkansas; daughter, Mary Denise Ware and her husband, Mike of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren, Robert Bradley and Malisa Thompson of Alba, Logan and Macie Thompson of Quitman, Dustin Thompson, William Thompson, Jerri Ann Buhler, Michael Ware, Corey Ware, Christopher Ware; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters, Gayle Strickland of Longview and Dorothy McFarland of Garland, and many close friends
