Jimmie Mcwhorter

Mrs. Jimmie McWhorter, age 79, died Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 in Longview, Texas. She was born on Monday, July 13, 1931 in Trenton, Texas to the late Mark and Lena Sherrell. She grew up in Buckner Children's Home in Dallas, Texas and remained supportive of the home her whole life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawkins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Thomas McWhorter, Jr.; two brothers, M.F. Sherrell and George Sherrell; and two sisters, Maxine Evans and Dorothy Davis.

She is survived by two sons, Mark McWhorter, Bill McWhorter and wife Vicki; two daughters, Paula Wright and husband Jerry, Brenda Massingill and husband Jerry; two sisters, Jay Campana, Mary Leamer; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to Buckner Children's Home in Dallas, Texas.
