J.L. "Boy" Odell

J.L. "Boy" Odell, of Como, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at his home, he was 76 years old. He was born on November 6, 1931 in Pickton, to the late J.R. and Clara Randolph Odell. He married Eva Jo Wheatley on November 24, 1949 in Pickton. He owned and operated a dairy and cattle farm for 46 years before retiring, and was a baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert Odell. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Eva Jo Odell of Como; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Rose Odell of Como, Jimmy and Gina Odell of Como; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Kenneth Brumley; one sister and brother-in-law, Evorine and James Alford of Sulphur Springs; six grandchildren, Jill Murray, Cody Odell, Eva Thomas, Brandon Odell, Ryan Odell, Rachel Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Brett Thomas, Dylan Odell, Bailey Thomas, Jake Murray, and Lindsey Watkins.
