J.L. Puyear

Mr. J.L. Puyear, age 78 of Quitman, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 in Tyler. He was born in Yantis on July 22, 1929 to the late Edgar Eugene and Lola T. White Puyear. He was a retired Frito-Lay driver, and dairyman, and attended Black Oak Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lonnie and E.J. Puyear, one sister, Helen Brown, and a great-grandson, Matthew Brewton. He is survived by three daughters, Bettie Ann Hicks and husband Ricky of Ft. Worth, Jean Harman and husband Mike of Como, Lisa Hunt and husband Dennis of Quitman; two brothers, Pete Puyear of Quitman, Bill Puyear and wife Frances of Mesquite; four sisters, Reba huffman of Bonham, Dorothy Bennett and husband Benny of Lewisville, Martha Reigh and husband Troy of Sadler, Mary McCarty and husband Tom of Denison; step-son, Darnell Rushing; his childrens mother, Joann Shadwick and husband Wayne; eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren
