Joanne Weems Milner drifted from this world and into eternity on May 27, 2021. She left behind a number of items to her daughters who have no clue what to do with any of them. If you or someone you know is in need of a purse or a pair of gently used shoes, please get in touch with us. The legendary Joanne was born in Winnsboro, Texas on June 25, 1946 to the late JD and Marie Weems. She graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1964 and later received a nursing degree from Paris Junior College. Joanne loved deep fried southern food, sweet peach tea with extra ice from sonic, bingo, red hot quarter slot machines and her perfect (according to her) daughters. She had a green thumb and enjoyed planting and caring for a variety of plants and flowers. She never met a stranger and her personality was contagious. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. To say that she will be missed is the understatement of the century. She will forever be in our hearts. While her time here on earth has ended, we can take comfort in knowing that she is now with her Lord and Savior. She leaves behind her daughters, Toi Milner, Britney Milner-Spindle and husband Jay; sisters, Brenda Coker and husband Tracy, Lois Skinner and husband Brian; brother Ronnie Weems and wife Christie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and more friends than we can count. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Marie Weems; brothers Arlon and Johnny Wayne Weems; nephews Christopher and Stephen Weems. Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 10:00am.
