Joanne Ramirez

Born on September 22, 1933 in Parnell, Kentucky to Mildred Carr Kendrick and Joseph Hugh Kendrick. Moved with her family to Mooreland, Indiana in 1942. She graduated from Mooreland High School in 1951 then attended Methodist Hospital Nursing School and Elkhart Medical Secretary School. She married Robert Ramirez on June 15, 1953. She moved to Guatemala California where she and her spouse ran a sugar plantation. The family returned to live in Texas where JoAnne continued her education and career as a physical Therapist. Her passion was creating a strong close knit family and being surrounded by friends and family.

Her husband of 67 years, Robert Ramirez; daughters, Yohanna French and husband Bruce, Jeni Massey; son, Jason Todd Ramirez and wife Tammy. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Hugh Kendrick, and wife Jodelle of Mooreland, Indiana; and sister, Margeret Atchison of Luma, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Mark Nicholas Ramirez, and a granddaughter, Serena Finch.
