Joe Jack Davis

Mr. Joe Jack Davis, age 89 of Winnsboro, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 in TYler. He was born in Winnsboro on February 17, 1917 to the late Vollie N. and Lou Knight Davis. He married the late Maurine Bellomy on August 29, 1939. He worked as a rancher and farmer, and was a member of the Oil Belt Cutting Horse Assoc., Lone Star Cutting Horse Assoc., and the Winnsboro Rodeo Assoc. He recieved numerous year end awards for service and breeding excellence from these organizations. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Maurine Davis, his parents, and one sister, Nola Montgomery. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Jolene Davis of Troup; two daughters and sons-in-law; Carolyn and Jack Clarke of Mountain Home,Tx., Mary Lou and James Campbell of Bonham; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
