Joe Pat Higgins

Mr. Joe Pat Higgins, age 82, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006 in Tyler. He was born in Dallas on June 24, 1924, to the late Clyde Willis and Verna Scrimpture Higgins. J.P. was raised in Pickton, he married the former Billie Gene Gunn on April 1, 1943 in Bogota, TX. He worked as a truck driver, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was a member of Walter Fair Methodist Church in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 63 years, Billie Gene Higgins. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Joe and Becky Higgins of Tyler; one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Gene and Michael Tuscana of Irving; six grandchildren, Barbara Murphy, Mary Carolyn Tuscana, Deanna Tuscana, Kathy Bryans, Blain Higgins, Missy Higgins; and ten great-grandchildren.
