Joe Billie Jones

Mr. Joe Billie Jones of Mineola, Texas passed away February 28, 2007 at the age of 77. He was born May 4, 1929 in Graham, Texas. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. Mr Jones graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Electircal Engineering and worked as an Electrical Sales Engineer for Furnass Electric at the time of his retirement. He had served as Scout Committe Chairman for Boy Scout Troup No. 36 in Quitman, Texas. He had been active in his church having served as Senior Warden and as a member of the Cursillo Training Staff. He had been a member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Mineola for several years. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Joan Jones of Mineola; by two sons, Donald Franklin Wristen of Dallas and William Hyndes Read, IV of Austin; by three daughters, Minta Jones Albietz of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sybil Jones Hallman of Rockwall and Martha Jones Miley of Hebron, Indiana; by two sisters, Shirley Jones Brooks of New Braunfels and Marihelen Jones of Richardson; by seven grandchildren, Michael, Minta, jeffery, Joseph, Phillip, Sarah and Austin.
