Joe Mattox

Mr. Joseph B. Mattox, Sr., age 87 of Winnsboro, entered into rest on Sunday, January 24, 2010. He was born in Newton, Tx. on November 21, 1922 to the late Levi D. and Dollie Swinney Mattox. He served in the Air Force during World War II, and later married Edna Canter on June 1, 1949. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph B. Mattox, Jr. He is survived by his wife Edna Mattox of Winnsboro; son, Canter Mattox of Winnsboro; sisters Mary Helen Welch, Jean Potter; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
