Joe Frank Slayton, age 86, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Friday, June 27, 1924 to the late Walter and Mary Slayton in Hawkins, Texas.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Agnus Calhoun.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Slayton; a son, Bobby Slayton; two brothers, Jerry and David Slayton; three grandchildren, Joshua Slayton, Damita Williams, Destiny Slayton and four great-grandchildren, Lindsey Williams, Brena Williams, Morgan Williams and Emily Slayton.
