John Howard Allen

Mr. John Howard Allen, age 84, of Hawkins, Texas, died Friday, December 28, 2007, in Tyler, Texas. He was born January 12, 1923 in DeQueen, Arkansas to the late John Harley Allen and the late Cora Belle (Shelly) Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Allen, grandson, Phillip Rolen, great grandson, Mason Maricle and by one sister, Ruby. Mr. Allen was a Mason, former president of the Hawkins Booster Club, and served in the Army during WWII.

He is survived by his three daughters, Sheryl France and her husband Cliff of Hawkins, Texas; Jackie Arnold and her husband Mike of Lindale, Texas; Doris Rolen of Wylie, Texas; one son,

John Allen, Jr. of Rosewood, Texas; two sisters, Gene Young of Kaufman, Texas and Mary Callahan of Bedford, Texas; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
