John was born April 27, 1935 in Wood County, TX to James Clinton Darby and Lucille Ray Darby. He graduated from Adamson High School, Dallas, TX in 1953.He married Alice Rogers Dec. 22, 1956. They have two daughters. They were married over 58 years.

John was a printer by trade. He was the Zales Graphic Arts Superintendent for over 25 year and later co-owner of Fiber Forms in Dallas. They lived in Irving, TX before retiring to Holly Lake Ranch.

John was a loving husband, father, papa, brother and caring friend.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

SURVIVORS: Wife Alice Darby, brother Garry Darby (Connie), daughters, Ronda Darby and Paula Gutzman (Jim), grand daughter, Amber Upston (Brandon), grandson James Gutzman and five great grand children.
