John B. Edwards

John B. Edwards, Jr., 78 of Winnsboro, Texas died on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Born Tuesday, March 17, 1931 in Lime City, Texas, he was the son of the late John Edwards, Sr. and the late Mary Penny Edwards. He was the husband of Belle McGary Edwards of Winnsboro who survives. John was a retired farmer, a Baptist, and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Also surviving are sons, John B. Edwards, III and wife Mandy of Winnsboro, TX, Johnny Edwards and wife Pattie of Brashear, TX, Roy Edwards and wife Janet of Green Forest, AR, Ronnie Edwards and wife Peggy of Quinlan, TX and James Edwards and wife Sandra of Sulphur Springs, TX, daughters, Katherine Wall and husband Brent of Winnsboro, TX and Barbara Long and husband Clarence of Madisonville, TX, brothers, Jack Edwards of Odessa, TX, Tony Edwards of Winnsboro, TX and Roy Howard Edwards of Lamesa, TX, sisters, Betty Edwards of Killeen, TX, Joyce McGary of Sulphur Springs, TX, Mary Wood of Tulsa, OK, Penny Spencer of Tulsa, OK, Vicki Crawford of Texas and Dolly Allen of Tulsa, OK; nineteen grand children and numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, James Edwards, Frank Edwards and Billy Edwards. A Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Shady Grove Cemetery located in Wood County, Texas with the Bro. Danny Suiter officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Wood County, TX. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 9, 2009, at Beaty Funeral Home , 816 W.
