John James Myers

John James Myers, 92, of Mineola, TX died on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Tyler, TX. He was born on Saturday, December 10, 1921 in Macon, GA to the late Homer and Ethel Myers.

He is preceded in death by his son David Myers; two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Rheba Myers of thirty four years; son, Don Myers and wife Holly of Terrell, TX; step son, Danny Sprouse and wife Sherri of Malakoff, TX; step daughter, Melodie Moore of Richardson, TX; brother, Billy Myers of California; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. John worked for the Railroad in North Carolina and for Ford Motor Company in Garland, TX he was also a member of The Elks Club in Garland.

Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 11-1 PM. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX.

In lieu of flowers family would like donations to be made to Feed The Children or SPCA or APET.
