John D Puckett

John D. Puckett, 86, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas passed away suddenly on Saturday September 21, 2024 in Tyler, Texas.

John was born on February 11, 1938 in Pickton, Texas to Tom and Lorene Puckett. John spent his early childhood years in Como, Texas. He moved to Grand Prairie, Texas in 1950. On January 3, 1959 he married the love of his life, Sandra Ruth Woods and they spent their years by each other's side until his death. John worked for Enserch Corporation from July 25, 1966 until his retirement on February 28, 1994. John also served as a Reserve Police Officer for the Grand Prairie Police Department for 10 years.

John was preceded in death by his loving parents Tom and Lorene. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sandra Puckett; his son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Norma Puckett; His grandchildren Addison Puckett and wife Jennifer, Analeise Sparkman Chapa and husband Trey, and Ramon Cavazos and partner Jake; his great grandchildren Aldren Sparkman, Liliana Sparkman, Olivia Puckett, and Baby Girl Puckett that is expected on October 24, 2024; and his brothers Duane Puckett, and Charles Williamson and wife Linda; Sister Brenda Ketner and her husband Jim.

Funeral services for John will be held on Monday September 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas, with pastor Troy Richardson officiating. He will be interred following the Memorial Service at Como Cemetery in Como, Texas, next to his Daddy.
