John Virgil Romans

Mr. John Virgil Romans passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the age of 63. He was born on September 26, 1948 in Hobart, OK to the late Lem Virgil Romans and Dollie Smith Romans. Mr. Romans lived in the Scroggins area for seventeen years, having moved her from Oklahoma. He was a Baptist and a member of the VFW Post 3992 in Mt. Vernon, TX. Mr. Romans served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War where he was rewarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Metal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Survivors include his son, Johnalee Virgil Romans; daughters and son-in-law, LaTonya Lee Clarke and husband Brian Reagon Clarke, Jr. and Carllem Ann Tucker; brothers, Willie Romans, Earl Romans and Joebill Romans; two grandchildren, Aimen John Tucker and Carlie Makensley Tucker.
