John Campbell Shade

John Campbell Shade Jr., of Mineola, died Thursday, November 21, 2013 in Mineola at the age of 62. He was born on Saturday, April 14, 1951 in Alexandria, VA to the late John C. and Gladys Shade.

Mr. Shade attended the First Baptist Church, Mineola and also was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Maryland. Mr. Shade retired from the United States Senate in 2006 after 35 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Paula; sons, Jay and Matthew; daughters, Tressa and Kasey; brother, Frank; sisters, Ginny, Dee and Sandy; four grandchildren, Hope, Cole, Arlen and Linda.

Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating. In lieu of flowers, family

has requested donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Mineola.
