John Richard Sparks

Mr. John Richard Sparks, Sr., age 76 of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011. He was born on Saturday, July 20, 1935 in Ladoga, IN to the late Adrian B. Sparks and Mary Reed Sparks. He was a retired engineer for Kendon, and a member of His House Ministries in Winnsboro. He was previously a member of the Dallas Spokesman Club, Community Radio Watch in Dallas, Dallas ISD School Board, Winnsboro ISD School Board, and the Sharon Water Board. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Marie Sparks; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sparks; son, William Leonard Sparks. He is survived by three sons; Paul Sparks of Rowlett, John R. Sparks, Jr. of Longview, Andrew A. Sparks and wife Sue of Winnsboro; four daughters, Kari Sparks Marquez and husband Carlos of Forney, Debra K. Sparks Barrington and husband Gene of Grapevine, Vicki Sparks of Houston, Sarah Sparks of Winnsboro; one sister, Anna Sparks Fitzsimmons of Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.
