Johnny Howard Richards

Mr. Johnny Howard Richards, age 83 of Winnsboro, passed away on August 25, 2013 in Tyler. Johnny was born in Winnsboro on February 7, 1930 to the late Howard Clifford and Mae Poole Richards. He served in the U.S. Navy from February 7, 1947 until his retirement on December 1, 1969, during his nearly 23 years of service, he served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mable Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Ann Daniel Richards of Winnsboro; son, Mike Richards of Norman, OK.; daughter, Barbara Appling of Rockport; brother, Wayne Richards and wife Ruth of Livingston; three grandchildren, Christopher Mize, Colter Rozzell, Kimberly Parker; and seven great-grandchildren, Brooke and Jackson Mize, Austin Alex, Amelia, Ava, and Anna Parker.
