Joseph Walter Bearden (J.W.), was born in Winnsboro, Texas, on December 29, 1946, to the late William Dewey Bearden and Nora Winchester Bearden. J.W. was a self-employed welder who worked many a job throughout the oilfields of east Texas. He loved to fish and spend time with family and friends. J.W. was baptized at the First Pentecostal Church of Pittsburg where he was a longtime member. Along with his parents, J.W. was preceded in death by his brothers Joe Bob Bearden, Kenneth Ray Hass, William Earl Bearden and sister Shirley Griffin (Bill). Mr. Bearden is survived by his sons Joseph Wayne Bearden, David Paul Bearden (Julie) and Jason Lynn Bearden; daughter, Misty Michelle Barton (Mike); brother J.T. Bearden; sisters, Doris Bolt, Delores Duncan (Gary), Kay Cofer (Jerry), and Margie Ordiway; sister-in-law, Rita Bearden; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. A visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Friday, October 8th, with graveside service to follow 1:00 p.m. at Smyrna Cemetery. Bro. Nub Brown will officiate and those who will serve as pallbearers are Kendall Hill, Keaton Hargett, Johnny Hicks, Josh Barton, T.J. Dillard, and Michael Barton, Jr.
