Joyce Anita Lassiter

Joyce Anita Lassiter joined the faithful in Heaven on September 15, 2022. Anita, as she was affectionately known was born on June 20, 1938, in Mineola, Texas, to the late Mancell and Mary Lou (Stanford) Caffey. She was a woman who said what she meant and meant what she said. Her hard work was evident as she worked for Morton Salt Company in Grand Saline for 30 years. Anita was a longtime member and secretary for Rose Hill Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death in March 2022 by her beloved husband J.C. Lassiter; sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Kenneth Sandifer. Mrs. Lassiter is survived by her son Kevin Lassiter; grandsons Duncan and Seamos Lassiter; and numerous beloved family and friends. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten by those who loved and knew her.
