Joyce Mae Brown

Mrs. Joyce Mae Brown, age 87 of Tyler, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in Tyler. She was born on July 3, 1932 in Ft. Worth to the late William Crites and Lela Roddy Crites. Mrs. Brown was a longtime resident of the Hawkins area and member of First Baptist Church of Hawkins. she was a member of the Joy Singers and the Salesmanship Club. She was a mother, homemaker and worked for Montgomery Ward Catalog Store. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, M.C. Brown and son, Jim Brown. She is survived by her son, Michael Brown and his wife, Janet of Tyler; brother, Jerry Crites; sister, Frances Akers; daughter-in-law, Rene Wells; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Hawkins Cemetery, Hawkins, Texas 75773 at 1:00 pm, Dr. Bill Holmes conducting. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA of the Human Society.
