Judy Kovic

Judith Ann Capps Kovic, 84 of Grand Saline, TX, passed away on December 24, 2023 after a brief illness.

Judy was born on March 29, 1939 to Charles and Jean Capps in Omaha, NE. After Judy graduated from North Dallas High School, she went on to study English at North Texas State University in Denton.

Judy worked for several companies over the years including CBS in Philadelphia, The University of Arizona in Tucson, Youth for Understanding and D’Col Aviation. After she retired she volunteered at a hospital in Tyler.

In 1959, Judy married Fenton Kovic in Dallas. Judy and Fenton went on to have 2 children, D’Ann and Colin. They also hosted numerous international teenage exchange students from all over the world.

Judy was predeceased by her husband, Fenton. She is survived by son Colin Kovic and his wife Shana, by D’Ann Kovic and her spouse Maricia, her granddaughters, Lana Nicole Meirs, Ashton Seo, Haley Reynolds and their families.

Judy donated her body to UT Southwestern for medical research. The internment of her ashes will be held at Roselawn Cemetery near Mineola, TX on Saturday, April 13th at 10:00 AM. The memorial will be graveside for family members only.
