Julia Ann Sandifer "Judy" was born on November 26th, 1946 - and went home to be with the Lord on October 20th, 2026. She is survived by her children, Lisa Sandifer, Michael Sandifer and his wife Rebekah, and Daniel Sandifer, grandchildren James, Luke, and Emily Sandifer, brothers Robert and Jerry Hammond, sister in law Cindy Hammond and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Wayne Sandifer, her parents Gaston and Willie Mae Hammond, sister Mary Louise Hammond, brothers Geary and David Hammond and sister in law Ann Hammond.
Judy faithfully served at Rose Hill Baptist Church in many capacities over the years. She loved her church family and her many friends, and she was a prayer warrior, always interceding for others in need.
Judy also loved to cook for her family and friends. Her dressing, cakes, rolls, and pineapple ice cream were always at the top of the request list, along with many other delicious dishes.
Judy loved her husband, children, and grandchildren, and she would do anything she could for them. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, and she loved to tell everyone about them. Judy also loved her daughter in law Rebekah, and Michael always joked that his mother believed she could do no wrong.
Judy's greatest desire was for her family to be believers, and to live their lives in a way that would be pleasing to the Lord. She demonstrated this through her prayers and by the way she lived her life before them. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all.
