June Annette Ewing

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June Annette Ewing, who departed this life peacefully on April 28, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of family and love.

June married Edly Eugene "Joe" Ewing and together they raised four children in Garland, Texas: David Ewing (d. 2003), Lynn Spraggins, Becky Castleberry, and Kim Ewing (d. 2025). Weekends were spent at the family's beloved property at Willow Springs on Lake Texoma, where countless memories were made. Joe often said their years living at Lake Texoma were the best of their lives.

June worked and retired from Varo, where she supported Engineering with her strong mind for numbers and organization. Even after retirement she kept busy working part-time at the VFW and participating in Cherokee tribal meetings.

An esteemed member of Tinney's Chapel Methodist Church in Winnsboro, June's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she touched many lives through her kindness and generosity. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Spraggins and Becky Castleberry; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward.

A graveside service will be held on May 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Garden of Memories in Colbert, OK, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate her remarkable life.

As we remember June Annette Ewing, let us cherish the countless memories and the love she shared with us all. She will forever remain in our hearts.

June will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved Joe and her sons, David and Kim. Rest in peace, June.
